A Brighter Community Begins With Us

Every community has people who want to help. Sometimes, all that's missing is a way to bring them together.

Pueblo Lucero is an IRS-recognized nonprofit serving communities across Southern California and Baja California. Our mission is simple: connect generosity with opportunity, bringing people and businesses together to support families, provide essential resources, and build brighter futures for children.

Our name says it all. Pueblo means village, and Lucero represents a bright star—a symbol of hope, possibility, and the light we can bring into each other's lives.

We believe meaningful change starts small. A bag of groceries. A pair of glasses. A helping hand. And a community willing to care.

🌟 Our First $10,000

This is Pueblo Lucero's inaugural fundraising campaign. Your support will help launch our first community initiatives while establishing the foundation for a responsible, sustainable nonprofit.

Here's what we're building together:

🥫 Food & Essential Supplies — $1,785–$3,222
Organizing food drives and partnering with local businesses to provide groceries and essential goods to families experiencing hardship.
👓 Children's Vision Initiative — $705–$2,434
Preparing partnerships with optical professionals to help children access eyeglasses and vision-related resources that support their education and well-being.
🏡 A Strong Foundation — $2,005–$4,012
Establishing the insurance, compliance, youth safety safeguards, and operational systems necessary to serve our communities responsibly.
🌱 Founding Expenses — $342–$349
Reimbursing documented organizational expenses already personally funded by our founders.

These are planning estimates. Our $10,000 goal supports the upper end of our initial budget, allowing us to responsibly prepare and execute our first initiatives.

💛 Every Contribution Moves Us Forward

You don't need to make a large donation to have a meaningful impact.

Every dollar contributes to our shared mission.

$25 — Lend a Helping Hand: Contribute toward food, school supplies, or everyday necessities.
$50 — Share the Light: Help fund essential goods and materials for upcoming community distributions.
$100 — Strengthen the Village: Support community initiatives and the resources needed to deliver them.
$250 — Build a Brighter Tomorrow: Make a significant contribution toward launching and sustaining our first projects.

These amounts are suggested giving levels, not fixed packages or guarantees of specific goods or services. Donations support the campaign's overall funding priorities.

Whatever you can give, you're helping build something that lasts.

🏡 Become a Founding Supporter

The first people who help build a village deserve to be remembered.

As part of our inaugural fundraising campaign, we're creating a dedicated Founding Supporters page on the Pueblo Lucero website.

Everyone who contributes to this campaign will have the opportunity to be recognized as part of the community that helped bring our mission to life.

Our Founding Supporters page will remain a permanent part of our website, celebrating the individuals, families, and businesses who believed in Pueblo Lucero from the beginning.

Supporters may choose to be recognized by name or remain anonymous. Recognition is optional, and every contribution—regardless of amount—is equally welcome.

This isn't about recognizing who gave the most. It's about remembering the people who helped us take our first steps.

Your generosity will become part of Pueblo Lucero's story.

🎯 Our Journey to $10,000

Every milestone brings us closer to launching our first initiatives.

$2,500 — Planting the Seeds: Begin funding essential organizational safeguards, infrastructure, and project planning.
$5,000 — Building Momentum: Expand our ability to prepare and coordinate our initial food and community assistance efforts.
$7,500 — Growing Our Reach: Advance food distribution planning, community partnerships, and preparation for our children's vision initiative.
$10,000 — Our Founding Goal: Fund the full initial campaign plan, subject to actual expenses and available resources.

These milestones represent cumulative funding progress rather than separate spending commitments. Funds may support multiple priorities throughout the campaign.

Together, we can turn our first $10,000 into the beginning of something much bigger.

🤝 Calling All Businesses: Partner With Us!

Some of the most meaningful contributions don't come from writing a check.

We're looking for businesses, professionals, and community organizations interested in making a tangible difference.

There are many ways to get involved:

Donate goods: Food, clothing, school supplies, eyeglasses, or other essentials.
Sponsor a community drive: Help us collect and distribute resources to families in need.
Contribute services: Printing, logistics, transportation, marketing, professional expertise, or event support.
Engage your team: Explore opportunities for employees to participate in community service.
Build a lasting partnership: Collaborate on initiatives that strengthen the communities we share.

💛 Business Matching Gift Opportunities

We're also seeking businesses interested in sponsoring matching donation challenges.

A business might pledge to match community donations up to $500, $1,000, or $2,500, encouraging others to contribute and helping us reach our fundraising goal.

Matching campaigns offer businesses an opportunity to demonstrate community leadership while inspiring customers, employees, and neighbors to participate.

Your business can help turn one act of generosity into two.

Whether you're a small family-owned business or a larger organization, we'd love to explore what we can accomplish together.

Business partnerships, matching sponsorships, and in-kind contributions can be coordinated directly with Pueblo Lucero, independently of this Givebutter campaign.

🎨 Calling Local Artists: Help Bring Our Village to Life!

Art has the power to tell stories, inspire generosity, and bring communities together.

We're looking for talented local artists, illustrators, and designers who want to help shape Pueblo Lucero's visual identity through original, human-made artwork.

From illustrations for community events and donation campaigns to designs for reusable bags, apparel, and promotional materials, we want our organization to reflect the creativity and culture of the communities we serve.

We believe in supporting local artists, not just asking them for support. Our goal is to build meaningful creative partnerships that recognize artistic talent, celebrate individual creators, and create opportunities for visibility, collaboration, and, as our resources grow, paid commissions.

Whether you're an established professional, an emerging artist, or a student building your portfolio, we'd love to see your work!

🙌 Want to Volunteer or Get Involved?

A strong village is built by people who show up for one another.

As Pueblo Lucero grows, we hope to create meaningful opportunities for community members to contribute their time, skills, and experience.

Future opportunities may include helping organize donation drives, coordinating supplies, supporting community events, offering professional expertise, and connecting us with local organizations.

We're currently building our operational foundation and are not yet running a formal volunteer program, but we'd love to hear from people who want to be involved as opportunities develop.

Interested in joining our community of future volunteers?

Every skill, every connection, and every helping hand has the potential to make a difference.

🔎 Our Commitment to Transparency

Trust is earned through actions, not promises.

As an IRS-recognized nonprofit, we understand the responsibility that comes with accepting contributions from our community.

We're committed to responsible stewardship and clear communication about how campaign funds are used.

As our initiatives progress, we'll share updates on:

Fundraising progress: How we're advancing toward our $10,000 goal.
Use of donations: How funds are allocated across organizational needs and community initiatives.
Project milestones: Progress on food distributions, vision initiative preparation, and community partnerships.
Community impact: The tangible outcomes of our work, including goods distributed and families reached when those figures become available.
Lessons learned: What we've accomplished, what challenges we've encountered, and how we're improving.

We want our supporters to understand not only what we hope to accomplish, but what their generosity actually makes possible.

Your trust matters as much as your contribution.

❤️ Your Gift Is More Than a Donation

We're a young organization with a long-term vision. We're building Pueblo Lucero from the ground up, guided by compassion, community needs, and responsible stewardship.

We believe that sustainable change doesn't come from one person or one organization. It comes from neighbors helping neighbors, businesses investing in their communities, and people choosing to make a difference together.

Your contribution doesn't just support a campaign. It helps build the village that makes future impact possible.

🌟 Help Us Reach $10,000

Donate. Share. Partner. Be part of our founding village.

Every contribution matters, and every act of generosity brings us closer to a brighter tomorrow.

When you give, you're not just helping launch a nonprofit. You're becoming part of the community that helped build it.

It Takes a Village. Let's Build One.

Unidos, brillamos más.
