Thank you so much for reaching out about hosting a puppy visit with Big Paws of the Ozarks! We absolutely love bringing our rescue puppies into the community when it’s the right fit for them and we have appropriate availability.

Because we are a foster-based rescue, puppy availability shifts week to week depending on the litters currently in our care. For that reason, we’re unable to guarantee dates far in advance.

To help us manage requests fairly and make sure nothing gets lost in email we’ve moved to a simple request system.

How scheduling works:

If your dates are flexible: You’re welcome to secure a priority waitlist spot with a $100 deposit. When we receive a litter that is a good fit for events, we contact flexible, deposit-secured requests first to begin scheduling. If the timing doesn’t work, we’re happy to refund your deposit or keep you at the top of the list for the next available litter. If your event is scheduled, the $100 deposit will be applied toward your total event donation.

If you need a specific date: You can absolutely request it in the form. We won’t collect a donation upfront, but we’ll keep your request on file and reach out if we have suitable puppies available during that time frame.

For context, in 2025 we welcomed 11 litters into rescue that were born in our care. When this happens, we often have a 6–8 week planning window. Other times, we intake older litters without a mom, which may create a much shorter 1–2 week planning window for visits.

This system allows us to protect the health and well-being of our puppies while still creating joyful, meaningful experiences in our community.
