FWM Spring 2021 Virtual Benefit Launch
Tuesday at 6:00 PM EDT
Support The Fabric Workshop and Museum during our Virtual Spring Benefit, running from May 25 through June 30!
Make a Gift of $350 and you'll receive a limited-edition artwork by Artist-in-Residence Jonathan Lyndon Chase made in collaboration with FWM. Don't miss the chance to own one of only 65 boxer shorts based on those in the artist's exhibition, Big Wash. The boxers feature Chase's Bending $ag design — a joyous riot of butterflies and roses — printed in a new colorway created exclusively for this edition. For a limited time (May 25-June 30), they're available only to FWM contributors of $350 or more. Best of all, your gift supports artistic experimentation and FWM's collaboration with contemporary artists!
Vote for your choice of fabric design to be reprinted for FWM's Fall Benefit! For each $25 contribution, you will receive one vote for your selection among two Betty Woodman fabrics. The winner will be reprinted this fall in our print studios. Vote as many times as you'd like! Each $25 gift not only gives you one vote, but also helps FWM fulfill its Mission: Collaborating with artists, revealing new possibilities. Your vote(s) will also give you exclusive access to a presale of the winning limited-edition fabric.
Buy the exhibition catalogue for Big Wash by visiting FWM's online Museum Shop. The 100-page catalogue includes photographs, sketches, poetry, interviews, and short fiction exploring kinship, nostalgia and intimacy—themes of the exhibition and Chase’s larger artistic practice—by contributing writers Yolanda Wisher, Tiona Nekkia McClodden, Meg Onli and Meg Pendoley, noor ibn najam, and jamal rashad. The catalogue also features a foreword from FWM Executive Director Christina Vassallo and an interview between Jonathan Lyndon Chase and curator Karen Patterson. Currently available for presale, orders will be distributed starting June 11th, 2021.
Special thanks to our sponsors for this year's Spring Benefit: Jeanne Sigler, Katie Adams Schaeffer, Mark and Laura Rosenthal, and Jeremy Tenenbaum.
