I am so fortunate to get to work with the most amazing individuals and families going through the Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity's homeownership program. Sadly, for every one of these deserving households working with us to achieve safe housing, there are many others who lack access to homeownership opportunity and decent housing because of the many barriers and systemic inequities that are still imbedded in our housing system. If you are looking for an orgnaization to support during this season of giving, RAHFH is certainly a worthy cause that is near and dear to my heart.
