The New Freedom Project

Welcome to The Brotherhood RISE Center's first housing initiative: The New Freedom Project! This project replaces the former Freedom Project (Tiny Home Village) with a permanent, trauma-informed community housing development. This project is about creating safe, stable housing for individuals experiencing homelessness in Tacoma — housing that does more than provide a bed for the night.

In the past, the Freedom Project Tiny Home Village showed us what’s possible. It created meaningful impact and helped people move forward. But it was limited in size and wasn’t designed to be a permanent solution.

Now, we are taking the next step.

This is the first phase of a larger, three-part plan to build a more lasting housing model — one that goes beyond emergency shelter. Our goal with phase one is to build housing units that will be the first step toward housing security for our unhoused neighbors. This housing unit will provide group housing and integrated daily living assistance.

By supporting this campaign, you are directly helping in the fighting for housing security for all!

This isn’t just about temporary relief.
It’s about creating a pathway to dignity, recovery, and permanent change.
