The Festival of the Painted Rock is a revival of a beloved annual arts event at the Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC), presented in partnership with the Roswell Arts Fund (RAF). This one-day festival on August 30, 2025, will attract 1,500-1,800 art enthusiasts, music lovers, and families to the CNC campus for a vibrant celebration featuring live music, visual art installations, a sculpture unveiling, and local food and beverage vendors.

The Festival of the Painted Rock will be held at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell, GA on August 30, 2025. This event is a joint fundraiser for the Roswell Arts Fund and the Chattahoochee Nature Center, in celebration of our 10-year and 50-year anniversaries, respectively.

The Festival of the Painted Rock is a revival of an annual arts-focused event CNC held in the late '80s/early '90s. "Painted Rock" is the translation of the Creek word Chattahoochee, and legend says that the word is derived from the number of turtles in and along the river.

The festival will feature a variety of musical artists and temporary public art installations, culminating in the unveiling of a new iconic permanent sculpture commemorating the organizations' anniversaries.
