Imagine this: the sun has set, and your home is completely dark. There’s no switch to flip, no glow from another room. But the day isn’t over. You still need to cook, clean, check on your kids, maybe step outside to use the bathroom.

For many families, that bathroom is a bucket behind the house. There’s no path light, no porch light — just your feet on the ground and whatever may be in your way.

One of our patients stepped outside like this. He couldn’t see where he was going. He stepped on a poisonous snake and was bitten. A simple solar light could have changed everything.

That is why we started Bring the Light. We are raising $5,000 by November 1 to send 2,000 solar lights and 200 chargers to families living without electricity.

Each light costs $12. Thanks to a grant, shipping is completely covered, but only if we reach our goal by the deadline.

These lights replace harmful ocote smoke, prevent accidents, and make it possible for families to safely move, study, cook, and live after dark. Something as basic as seeing the ground under your feet can mean the difference between safety and harm.

We are a team of students and community members, as well as NGO leaders, on Cape Cod keeping this effort simple and local. We are putting up flyers in shop windows, placing donation jars in cafés, and sharing QR codes on campus. No big events. Just steady outreach and the belief that a little light goes a long way.

Your donation sends real, lasting light into a home that needs it. Donors will be featured on our Wall of Light, and we will share photos and updates when the lights are delivered.
