I am excited to run the 2022 LA Marathon Charity Challenge as a member of team JTF!  On March 20, I will be running a half marathon and fundraising for the Justin Turner Foundation. As a Dodger fan, JT has been a favorite of mine for his leadership and play on the field, but over the last couple of years I have learned more about his off field contributions to the community and am participating in this event in support of his foundation. 

Justin and his wife Kourtney use their foundation to help so many in the Los Angeles area. They work closely with the LA Dream Center to provide food for people in need. During the pandemic, the JTF purchased meals from small businesses and then distribute them to those who were hungry, both to help the businesses stay afloat and provide meals for those struggling. The Turners also work with programs to support those who have served in our military, and have helped build housing for homeless vets. They also work with children, supporting youth baseball, and more importantly, children battling life-threatening diseases and their families. 

The Turners have inspired me to look at how and what I do to help others, and as a result I am excited to support their foundation through this run. Please consider sponsoring my 13.1 mile run with a donation to the Justin Turner Foundation.
