At Shady's Paw Animal Rescue (SPAR), every animal deserves a chance at a healthy, happy life. In just one week in June 2024, we were contacted for help with six severely ill felines. All money raised goes towards covering emergency vet bills and continuing our life-saving work.

Here are a few of the urgent cases we've been working tirelessly to save:

**Willie** was found with extensive wounds, likely from a fight. He required immediate surgery, antibiotics, and pain management to survive.

**Stevie the Wonder Cat** was wandering the road, blinded by severe eye infections. Stevie's eyes were so badly infected that emergency care was needed to relieve her pain. Despite our efforts, she had to return within days for eye removal surgery. Her vet bills are substantial.

**Alexa Bliss** was lethargic and twitching when found, unable to maintain her temperature. Despite extensive bloodwork and supportive care, we made the heartbreaking decision to help her cross the Rainbow Bridge.

**Rooster and Hennie** were huddled under a shed, suffering from severe upper respiratory infections and infected eyes. Their immediate, intensive care included antibiotics, eye drops, and supportive treatments.

**Midnight** had a polyp in her ear requiring urgent surgery. Left untreated, it could have led to serious complications, including hearing loss and chronic infections. Midnight's surgery was a success, but it added to our mounting vet bills.

These are just a few of the countless animals in desperate need of urgent medical care. Each one of these cats deserves a chance to heal and find a loving forever home. But we cannot do it alone.
