Sarah's Circle 2025 Annual Campaign

Sarah's Circle serves older adults age 55 and up who earn at or below 30 percent of area median income, which is currently just $2,871 per month. By contrast, the median rent price for a studio apartment in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington, DC is $3,020. Our residents cannot afford to rent high quality, safe, stable units without assistance from organizations like Sarah's Circle.

Donations to our annual fund will support our work in three key areas:

Affordable Housing: We provide 49 units of housing with rents set at a flat 30 percent of tenant income (all utilities are included). We also work with seniors struggling to find affordable housing, linking them with available resources.

Supportive Services: We offer a hot lunch five days per week as well as a calendar of activities designed to help participants meet personal health and wellness, educational, and social goals. We serve residents of our building as well as seniors from the community, ensuring our program is open to all in need.

Expansion: We hope to one day expand our mission to develop new housing and broaden our supportive programming even more.

At Sarah's Circle, older adults can live in safe, high quality homes while developing supportive peer relationships with friends and neighbors. Our ultimate goal is to allow seniors to age in place at home rather than in more costly and more restrictive institutional environments.
