Homer's Surgery Fundraiser
Update!
After further medical review, Homer has received an amputation rather than the initial plan of a Femoral Head Ostectomy. Our vets believed this was in the little guy's best interest for a full and happy life.
The amputation cost much less than the FMO, so we are pleased to let all donors know that this campaign helped another kitten with her surgery as well. That's two kittens one step closer to their happiest and healthiest lives. Yay!
Thank you so much for your support, it means the world to us.
Homer needs a Femoral Head Ostectomy to correct his fractured pelvis. He was luckily found by one of our team members in a Home Depot parking lot, crying in pain. Though we searched for an owner, none was found and he was taken into the rescue in early October 2025. His pain is being managed, but the surgery is the only way to help him live the life this loving 4 month-old kitten deserves.
Please donate if you can, every dollar will go directly to Homer's vet bill. We appreciate your support of our mission to save cats in North Carolina!
