Send YDSA to Chicago!

Our comrades at ETSU YDSA have the opportunity to attend the national YDSA convention in Chicago this August. Hundreds of student organizers from across the country will gather to strategize, build solidarity, and fight for a more just future. 

This convention is a vital space for ETSU YDSA to:

✅ Learn from experienced organizers and movement leaders.
✅ Connect with other YDSA chapters to strengthen our collective power.
✅ Bring back skills & strategies to grow campus campaigns for workers' rights, affordable education, racial justice, and democratic socialism.

But they need our help to get there! Travel, lodging, and registration costs add up, and the fact that it's summer limits their on-campus fundraising abilities. At the June chapter meeting of Northeast TN DSA, we voted to donate $375 of our chapter funds to pay their registration fees. Travel and lodging still need to be covered, so we’re fundraising to ensure our YDSA comrades can attend without financial barriers.

Why does this matter?

Across the country, students and workers are organizing in real opposition to the new ruling-class consensus. By attending this convention, our YDSA comrades will return with the tools to work toward real change at ETSU and in our community.
