Chicago Chefs Cook for Chicago Migrant Relief

Please join us! Chicago Chefs Cook will host a migration-focused panel of civic and culinary leaders on November 9th, 4:30-6:00pm at the Pendry Hotel, to discuss a solution-oriented dialogue. Speakers include Diego Angulo Martinez, Consul General of Colombia; Steve Wiley and Veronica Saldana, Pilsen Food Pantry; Victoria Infante, CPS Community Manager; Felipe Ospina from Sysco; Laurell Sims from Urban Growers Collective; and Chef Art Smith. There is a suggested donation to attend this event. Funds will go directly to the Pilsen Food Pantry's New Migrant Program, an initiative for individuals and families arriving in Chicago to help provide food, shelter, clothing, and healthcare resources. If you are interested in joining us but unable to donate, please reach out to Eda Davidman ([email protected]).

Following the panel discussion, and for a separate entry fee, the Pendry Chicago Hotel, in partnership with Chicago Chefs Cook, will host our city's first annual Chefsgiving at the Pendry's Venteux Brasserie, Cafe & Oyster Bar. We welcome you to share a dinner for a cause with seven of Chicago’s renowned chefs: D'Andre Carter of Soul & Smoke, Rodolfo Cuadros of Amaru, Marcel Heiduk of Venteux at Pendry, Felicia Mayden, Manny Mendoza of Herbal Notes, Dudley Nieto of Fat Rosie's, and Devon Quinn of Eden. Tickets include a cocktail hour with canapes, a four-course dinner with wine pairings, and a $30 donation to the Pilsen Food Pantry's New Migrant Program. Buy yours today!

About Chicago Chefs Cook

Chicago Chefs Cook, led by James Beard Award-winning Chef Sarah Stegner, Eda Davidman, Jodi Fyfe, and Darren Gest, has unified Chicago chefs to raise over a million dollars for causes such as the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, hurricane relief in Puerto Rico, earthquake relief in Syria and Turkey, and most recently, the wildfires in Maui. Now, the Chicago Chefs Cook team turns their attention to the severe lack of essential resources facing the growing number of migrants in Chicago.
