Funds Still Needed for Quarantine Expenses, Veterinary Bills and Transport to Kentucky and Michigan!

In February we rescued 3 senior broodmares from the kill pen in Oklahoma thanks to help from two of their breeders who stepped forward as soon as they learned the mares were in trouble and some generous individuals who contributed toward the other mare, Rush to Glory.

Lady Cozzette (23 years old), Cool Calculations (21 years old) and Rush to Glory (22 years old) all ended up in the worst possible place after producing 23 foals between them.

The amazing people who bred Lady Cozzette and Cool Calculations both stepped forward and offered financial assistance to help support those two mares, but we just couldn't leave Glory behind so we fronted the funds to cover her bail.

Everyone has been incredibly generous and now we just need a little more to get all three mares to their new homes.

Rush to Glory will be going to the amazing Serenity Oaks Equine Sanctuary in Michigan, and we will be welcoming both Lady Cozzette and Cool Calculations to the Mareworthy Sanctuary in Kentucky so their breeders can visit them before we make a final plan on whether to offer them for adoption or figure out a way for them to become permanent residents with our herd.

Your donation today will help us recover some of the funds we've spent above what we fundraised including the expense of getting all three mares from Oklahoma to Kentucky and Michigan - a total of just under !,200 miles from OK to MI.

To date we have raised $6,045 for these mares, but we are still short by about $5,464.43 before even accounting for their first month in their new homes. Here's the breakdown of where that money went to date:
