Covid Rage Space for Queer & Trans Folks

WHY WE'RE GATHERING:

The ongoing pandemic has taken so much from us like our health, people we love, community, autonomy, or hope. This can bring up a lot of rage & grief, especially as we continue to see the world try to force going back to a“normal" that just isn't there anymore, and should never have been considered “normal” to begin with.

This session is an affinity space for covid/air-borne illness cautious folks who are queer, trans, nonbinary, and/or 2Spirit. This space is for folks to share their feels and hopefully make some connections with others in the space for validation and solidarity. Folks can engage as much or as little as they want. Even if you want to keep your camera off and just listen, that's okay! There may be some small breakout groups, but you also don't have to engage if you'd like to just be present. More than anything, we just want folks to be in the space and have their frustrations and hurt be seen and validated.

SESSION TOPIC:  SILENCE IS VIOLENCE!

This session will focus on exploring frustrations with how our communities & the world have stopped talking about the ongoing pandemic & try to silence those still trying to advocate & practice safety.

REGISTRATION INFO:

Tickets are on sliding scale starting at $5 up to $50. Zoom links for the grief space will be sent 2 hours before the event. If you have any questions before the gathering please email [email protected]

If you have capacity to pay on the higher end of the sliding scale, it would be appreciated because this allows us to keep our services low cost or free for marginalized folks! We appreciate you helping us to combat the violence of financial instability that capitalism causes on so many AND to support our commitment to reparations, community care, and mutual aid.

PLEASE NOTE: This session will not be recorded as it is a peer support affinity space and is not a workshop.
