Hi! I’m Jennel. I am studying Human Services at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia and I'm training to be a volunteer counselor at Crisis Text Line. As part of the learning process, I am raising money for suicide prevention and all proceeds will be donated to Crisis Text Line. In turn, for each person who donates, I will personally donate a tree in your honor through One Tree Planted, no matter the monetary amount of your gift.

Why suicide prevention? Suicide is a leading cause of death. It’s also preventable. In the U.S. alone, we have the ability to save nearly 45,000 lives every year. Crisis Text Line is a global not-for-profit organization providing free, 24/7, mental health support texting service through confidential crisis intervention via SMS message.

Why trees? Trees represent life and growth. They are vital to our environment and for supporting wildlife. One Tree Planted is a non-profit organization focused on Global Reforestation. They have planted over 40 million trees in more than 43 countries across the globe since 2014.
