We are on a Quest to put on the 2025 Fest!

In 2023, the Philadelphia Folksong Society paused its signature event, the Philadelphia Folk Festival, to rebuild and plan for the future of the organization. Thanks to the support of our community, Fest returned in 2024-- and it was both a financial and musical success! We want to thank every musician, patron, sponsor, volunteer, vendor, advertiser, neighbor, and community partner for supporting the 2024 Philadelphia Folk Festival.

The goal of the Philadelphia Folksong Society is to build a sustainable future while continuing to plan events like the Philadelphia Folk Festival. We are committed to ensuring that Fest — and PFS — will thrive for another 62 years and beyond!

The Philadelphia Folksong Society (PFS) is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the past, promoting the present, and securing the future of folk music and related forms of expression through education, presentation, and participation.

As we look to the future, the PFS Board of Directors asks that you hold the date for the 2025 Philadelphia Folk Festival, which will take place on August 15, 16, and 17. More information is coming soon, and we can’t do it without YOU!
