Help protect forgotten veterans from the cold
Dryhootch (Dryhootch.org) is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to helping our veterans returning home readjust to civilian life. We also provide important services to veterans and their families with addiction illness, who are homeless, and who just want a safe, alcohol- and drug- free place to relax and interact with other veterans. We provide free rides to appointments, food pantries, and some social functions. With a Wisconsin winter approaching, we’d like to be able to provide instant soup and hot cocoa along with our usual unlimited coffee, all of this free. In addition, we’d like to be able to hand out blankets, hoodies, winter hats, mittens, hand warmers, and socks, all at no cost to both our returning warriors and our forgotten ones, and their families. This is to help them have a safer and more comfortable winter. We are asking for $15,000 to ensure that we have enough of these supplies to help as many of our veterans and their families as will come to us for them in the Brady Street location. Any and all help is appreciated.
