When our founder was creating 91 Place, she asked dozens of homeless youth, "if you could have one thing right now that would change everything, what would it be?" Without fail, every time, they would say, 'a family'". This is how 91 Place came to be, creating a home to instill community, relationship, and family back into the lives of our youth. Young adults, like Antonio, are the reason for 91 Place.

"Because of my past I don’t like asking people for anything so there would be times I knew I needed things and I wouldn’t really say anything, but lucky me they would be thinking about me and ask me if anything was going on and offer help. They were always quick to offer help when I wasn’t willing to ask, it was just a great experience overall, I've never met people like that before really." -Antonio

91 Place exists to be a safe place for homeless youth to be, grow, and transform. Residents ages 17-22 are able to stay for up to two years. This gives them time-bound space to further education, obtain a job, save money, and create healthy relationships. Through our life skills curriculum and mentorship program, our residents learn the skills they need to be an independent adult. With therapy and trauma-responsive care, they heal from years of trauma.
