We’re so glad you’re interested in joining us for this ride of a lifetime. Ride to DC would not be possible without the support and involvement of our volunteers. We need people to help our dedicated cyclists get safely from NYC to DC August 22nd to the 28th. We have several spots open, preferably for those who would not be cycling along the route and those who have access to a vehicle or are able to drive a vehicle that we provide. Driver roles are incredibly crucial in ensuring we can all successfully and safely make the Ride to DC. Roles that will be assigned to you will be consistent each day. We can accommodate volunteers who want to bike, but your immediate responsibility would be to unload/load cargo in shifts. Please be advised that volunteers are subject to put down a $75 deposit and the full cost of admission. Lodging, meals, tolls and gas will be provided in the cost of admission. All of our volunteers just need to bring their bodies, their vehicle (if they have one), their spirit, and their ever present desire to work as a successful team! We will reimburse gas expenses each day; receipts from gas purchases will be given to the Crew Lead at the end of each day and reimbursements will be made daily through Venmo or Zelle. We are also able to reimburse for toll expenses. Upon return of the trip, if someone is using EZ pass, they will need to send a copy of the transactions with tolls to the Crew Lead, and they will be reimbursed within a week. In the event of a driver not having an EZ pass, there will be petty cash that will be distributed to each driver via the Crew Lead and that money will be accounted for each evening after the ride.
