Let's Take a Trip!!!

UD Catholic Campus will be taking a day-pilgrimage to the National Centre for St. Padre Pio in Barto, PA. St. Padre Pio was an Italian Franciscan priest who had numerous spiritual gifts (bilocation, being able to read people's hearts, and bearing the Stigmata--the wounds of Jesus--on his hands, feet, and side). God worked numerous miracles through St. Padre Pio during his life, and he continues to be a powerful intercessor for us in Heaven!

The Nation Centre for Padre Pio is a place that is dedicated to promoting the story and intercession of St. Padre Pio (the family who started the Centre have a miracle story of their own that you can hear about). The Centre offers beautiful grounds, chapels, and a museum, which creates a retreat-like environment for prayer and learning about the amazing life of this great saint.

During the pilgrimage, you will have the opportunity to go to Mass, spend some time in prayer during Adoration and the Rosary, explore the Centre and grounds, see the museum on Padre Pio, visit the gift shop, and watch a video of Padre Pio's life and the history of the Centre. Transportation and lunch (gluten-free option) will be provided. We are asking students to contribute $10 (if you are able), to offset the cost of the chartered bus.
