What began as Randy Duncan’s vision — brought to life by Rusty Hernandez-Sanfilippo, Jeffrey Sanfilippo, Harriet Ross, and Patrick Simoniello — has grown into one of the nation’s leading preparatory pathways for top college dance programs and professional companies, including The Juilliard School, NYU, Hubbard Street Dance, and the Dutch National Ballet.

Renamed the Randy Duncan Dance Initiative in 2024, the RDDI has continued to grow and remains the only arts high school initiative focused solely on recruiting and supporting young dancers, while also enriching their curriculum and educational experience.
