My name is Adrien. For the last two months, I've been living in Ukraine, learning Ukranian and absorbing the culture with a passionate dedication. I volunteered in a kitchen in the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine which prepared food for injured soldiers and displaced persons. I have seen the damage of this war with my own eyes: buildings and shops of the city center destroyed, homes of families laid to waste, and schools reduced to rubble. I've heard countless stories of people who have brothers, cousins, coworkers, friends, and loved ones who've been killed in the war. Before arriving at the kitchen, I anticipated an environment of seriousness and worried any expression of positivity would be innapropriate. "Should I smile? Can I give them a hug? Can I play music while we work?" Despite the exhausting labor in the kitchen, my jokes, smile, and dancing were all reciprocated with unimaginable love and acceptance. The spirit here in Ukraine is unlike anything I could have ever imagined. These people have the resolve to win and it is on us to support them.

There are two organizations I am associated with and these are people I trust.

Hell's Kitchen: A donation based kitchen which is feeding injured soldiers, the elderly, the displaced and anyone in need. They produce 1,000 meals a day. Small donations will allow them to continue buying supplies to continue feeding people. Bigger ones will allow them to fix equiptment and work on cars they use to deliver food which are always in need of repair.

Direct Help: This is an organization which is all about sending help directly to those who need it. I am collaborating with them on the distribution of generators throughout the Ukraine to people who have lost access to power.
