REACH Shirati is dedicated to partnering with rural Tanzanians to increase access to quality education and health care.

Founded by Christine Nyanda Chacha, who grew up in the Shirati-Nyamagongo region of northwestern Tanzania, we aim to create educational opportunities and enhance healthcare services.

We work closely with community members, providing funding and resources while they make all key decisions about our programs.

Our health initiatives address critical needs such as nutrition and patient care, with a focus on delivering sustainable, community-led solutions. In 2022, our efforts in improving hospital nutrition were recognized with the Order of the Uhuru Torch by the Tanzanian government.

In education, in building and founding New Tina's Pre and Primary School which educates over 450 students, we strive to eliminate barriers to learning by providing quality instruction in a supportive environment. Our schools offer bilingual education, fostering higher achievement and opening pathways to further education.

We also focus on empowering girls through dedicated programs that promote academic success and personal development. We remain committed to ensuring that our programs are sustainable and fully integrated into the community.

At REACH Shirati, we believe that empowering communities through education and health care is key to fostering long-term development and improving the quality of life for the community of Shirati.
