Help Rebuild Lives in Lirquén (Chile) After the Wildfires
Wildfires recently devastated the community of Lirquén in southern Chile, destroying homes, local infrastructure, and a community space that had long supported women, families, and children.
Supporting women and children who lost everything after the devastating fire
SoyMás Foundation, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is raising $50,000 to support the recovery and restoration of essential needs for women and children in Lirquén, Chile, who have been severely affected and have lost their homes, belongings, and sources of stability as a result of the devastating fire.
Funds will be used under the full discretion and oversight of SoyMás Foundation to restore critical resources and safe environments that provide access to education, psychosocial support, childcare activities, community coordination, and recovery services. Support may include equipping or rebuilding shared spaces, replacing essential materials, and providing the infrastructure necessary for women and families to begin rebuilding their lives.
This initiative is focused on people, not buildings. Its goal is to help women and children regain safety, dignity, and access to support systems that are vital for recovery after crisis. By strengthening community-based responses, the program promotes resilience, emotional healing, and long-term stability for families who have experienced profound loss.
Flexible support allows SoyMás Foundation to respond effectively to evolving needs on the ground, ensuring resources are directed where they are most urgently needed. All supported activities align with SoyMás Foundation’s charitable mission and are subject to appropriate due diligence, monitoring, and reporting.
SoyMás Foundation maintains full control and discretion over the use of donated funds, ensuring they are applied exclusively to charitable purposes. All activities are governed by financial controls, monitoring, and reporting consistent with U.S. nonprofit compliance standards and international grantmaking best practices.
