Support Resilient Reefs and Communities

This Giving Tuesday 2025, One People One Reef needs your support in scaling our work with Micronesian Outer Island communities for reef resilience and continuity!  We are receiving an increasing amount of requests for our partnership across Micronesia. Your donation allows us to respond to this request and share our community-led model, which integrates reef science, community leadership, and youth programs for enduring stewardship to meet local and global marine protection goals.

🌊 Your Gift Fuels Impact Across Micronesia:

🪸 Reach New Reefs: Provide support for our teams to scale to new communities and islands.

🔬 Link Science to Management: Help us complete and implement a community-led management plan for a Ulithi Atoll Marine Respected Area (the largest protected area in the region!) that blends cutting-edge science with traditional values.

🎤 Mentor Youth Leaders: Energize our Youth Action Program to nurture the next generation of conservation champions.

Our 2025 Highlights:

  • 🔎 The Coral ToolKit: Connects science and storytelling to guide local reef management.
  • 🎙️ One People One Reef Podcast: Sharing island voices and stories of stewardship.
  • 🎶 Ulithian Vibes Album: Celebrates culture, environmental change, and island wisdom.

As we celebrate these milestones together, we’re also looking ahead. Over the last 15 years, our work across Micronesia has shown that effective conservation must center community needs and leadership, and the tools and solutions we’ve created together have led to meaningful, measurable outcomes—and have inspired neighboring communities to ask us to bring our approach to their islands.

We’re honored by this momentum and grateful for the opportunity to grow our work. Our work goes beyond management and conservation—it’s about centering communities, preserving culture, and building resilience for the future. Thank you for supporting community-driven stewardship in one of the world’s most biodiverse regions. Stay connected with us on social media or visit onepeopleonereef.org to learn more.

In gratitude,
