Rensizzle Week: Powered by Curiosity, Supported by Friends Like You!

At The Renaissance Charter School, we believe in the profound power of trying new things. We're therefore excited to share our plans to expand Rensizzle at TRCS 2 High School in Elmhurst! This will double the number of students currently partaking in this unique-to-TRCS experience, reaching more than 1200 students across both schools. We hope you will contribute to our Rensizzle Fund to sustain its operations for years to come.

Rensizzle Week is Renaissance's signature program designed to expand student horizons through experiential learning. Rensizzle Week empowers curiosity-led learning through workshops, tours, field trips, and in-house programming. Through this 5-day enrichment program, students gain access to some of the most exciting learning opportunities NYC has to offer. In October 2023, nearly 450 students in grades 6-12 visited 67 sites across the tri-state area. From rock scrambling to hip-hop music production, Renaissance students were presented with more than 20 learning units to choose from.

Rensizzle Week truly takes a village to bring it to life. We rely on support from friends like you to allow us to continue offering enrichment opportunities like Rensizzle at no cost to all of our K-12 students year after year. We live in one of the most vibrant cities in the world, with opportunities for learning around every corner. Rensizzle makes curiosity equitable for all of our students, regardless of their background or academic standing. With your help, all Renaissance students can be empowered to learn amazing new things about themselves and their community, within and beyond the classroom.
