Across the Commonwealth, Resilient Virginia is advancing this work by expanding clean energy, modernizing infrastructure, protecting natural systems, strengthening local economies, and promoting equitable opportunity.

Resilient Virginia Collaborative Alliance (RVCA) Investment

• Builds a regional coalition that aligns local governments, universities, nonprofits, and businesses around shared resilience goals;

• Advances cross-jurisdictional collaboration to address regional issues such as flooding, energy security, regenerative agriculture, economic transition, and broadband;

• Supports under-resourced communities with technical assistance, data access, workshops, and capacity-building support;

• Strengthens regional planning and funding readiness for federal/state/philanthropic funding, infrastructure investment, and economic development through public-private partnerships;

• Accelerates implementation of real-world resilience projects and pilot efforts tailored to rural and Appalachian community needs; and

• Elevates regional leadership and positions Central & Southwest Virginia as a model for community-driven, place-based resilience.
