Brookside Farm Museum commemorates America250 with an evening of history, storytelling, and community in the Barn at Brookside Farm. This special program explores the American Revolution through the lives of people whose stories deepen our understanding of the founding era.

Historian, artist, and storyteller Tammy Denease appears as Clo Pratt, an enslaved woman who lived in Wethersfield during the American Revolution. Through performance and historical interpretation, Denease brings Pratt’s life and experiences vividly to the present. There will be an opportunity for discussion, and this is an all-ages, family-friendly event.

Guests can enjoy wine and cheese, along with snacks and drinks for children, by donation. Visitors are also invited to try traditional colonial activities such as the historic game Graces. Come with compassion, leave with inspiration. It will be a night you won't soon forget.

Admission is $10, and free for children. Advanced registration is strongly preferred. Cash, credit card, and check are accepted.
