 Dear Community,

We are raising funds this year to rent a space that will allow us to grow tenant power in Ridgewood!

This is the year we make our dream of establishing an office a reality and we are propelled by the love we have for collective tenant power. Starting February, we are declaring our deep love and commitment to our neighborhood of Ridgewood.

What makes our neighborhood beautiful? It’s the people! And our neighbors deserve to stay in the place they call home.

Our tenants’ union also needs a home of its own. One where we can form a strong base of tenants that are unified under one mission: building power with our neighbors to fight displacement.

Many of our members know that keeping a roof over one’s head is becoming more difficult as rent prices surge in Ridgewood. In establishing a homebase, we’ll be better equipped to organize and build tenant power to fight back against evictions, harassment, bad conditions, and displacement.

To make that dream a reality, we are raising the funds necessary to establish an office and thinking through other fundraising strategies. In the following months, we’ll need all hands on deck to reach our goal.
