Rikers Island Cat Rescue is dedicated to the cats who call Rikers Island home. Since 2002, we've been working quietly but persistently to trap, neuter, and return (TNR) the island’s community cats while providing ongoing care and monitoring for all the cats who call Rikers Island home. We work daily to not only provide the bare necessities but to provide loving socialization to those who show interest in human companionship, giving them the chance to leave the island and find safe, permanent homes through adoption.

These cats didn’t choose Rikers as their home, but it’s where they are—and we believe they deserve care and compassion, no matter where they live. Your support helps us continue providing spay/neuter, medical care, and daily feeding for these resilient cats, ensuring they live healthier lives while preventing future litters.
