The Inspiration Behind Rising MVPs

Rising MVPs was founded by Rian Patel, a student athlete at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida, who believes that sports can change lives.

Rian began playing baseball at the age of four and quickly developed a love for the game. Baseball taught him confidence, teamwork, discipline, and resilience — lessons that extend far beyond the field.

The inspiration for Rising MVPs comes from Rian’s grandfather, Mahesh V. Patel, whose initials were MVP. His grandfather immigrated to the United States and worked incredibly hard to build a better life for his family. His journey was not easy, but his determination and perseverance left a lasting impact on Rian.

After his grandfather passed away, Rian wanted to honor his legacy by creating something meaningful that would help others. That idea became Rising MVPs.

Rising MVPs works to help underserved youth gain opportunities through baseball by providing mentorship, equipment donations, and youth clinics. Through these programs, young athletes can develop confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of community.

Every donation helps provide baseball equipment, training opportunities, and mentorship for kids who may not otherwise have access to the game.
