A Place to Rise works with local families here on the South Shore who are struggling and could use short-term or long- term help. Our team leverages the success, skills, and support of those within the Facebook Group, Leading Ladies of the South Shore, to ensure each family is cared for during their time with AP2R.

Since our 2020 inception, we’ve worked with 6 different families (many of them being single moms) and have done everything from providing them with holiday gifts and meals for their children, to raising money to help them pay for Upper Education classes (so they don’t need to depend on others), to simply writing a check to cover their electricity bill. Often, these families have been referred to us by a concerned loved one, and thus far, no request has been too big or too small.

We have worked with MANY wonderful partners and sponsors over the last couple of years, many South Shore staples. As a show of appreciation for their support, we often will reference the businesses in the Leading Ladies group and any social media efforts we make (which around certain times of the year are abundant!). As a team of women who are entrepreneurs/business owners ourselves, we understand the importance of brand awareness.
