UPDATE: Today, March 12, we learned the devastating news that FIRST is suspending the competition season and canceling its Championship events. We are not going to Houston after all. Instead, we are trying to be creative about what we can do with this unexpected change to our plans. Some of our ideas still involve travel to off-season events in the summer or fall, so we will keep this campaign open until April 1. Thank you for supporting HVA Robotics.

We're going to Worlds! FIRST Team 3824, HVA RoHAWKtics, qualified to compete at the 2020 FIRST Championships in Houston. We are seeking funds to help us pay for travel expenses, which can exceed $20,000 for our team of 50.

The Chairman's Award honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the mission of FIRST. It was created to keep the central focus of FIRST Robotics Competition on the ultimate goal of transforming the culture in ways that will inspire greater levels of respect and honor for science and technology, as well as encouraging more of today’s youth to become science and technology leaders. The HVA RoHAWKtics were honored to receive the Chairman's Award at the 2020 Palmetto Regional in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

As a Chairman's Award team, we will travel to Houston and compete for the Championship Chairman's Award. Our 2020 robot, Alien X, will also compete in a Championship division!
