Roman Luczycki Obituary

Roman John Luczycki, 33, passed away unexpectedly on March 13, 2026, in Dallas, Texas.

Born on December 7, 1992, in Syracuse, New York, Roman brought warmth and laughter to those who knew him throughout his life.

Roman spent most of his youth in Yorktown Heights, New York, where he graduated from Yorktown High School. He later attended West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV earning a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.

Roman was known for his sweet and fun-loving nature. He had a passion for golf that began early in life while playing with his father, and it became a cherished part of his identity. He competed on the golf and ski teams during high school and golf club team in college. During the last ten years while in Dallas, Roman loved playing in kickball leagues with friends and was involved with BvB Dallas, a football game and fundraiser for Alzheimer's Disease Research & Awareness.

Roman is survived by his loving mother, Lisa Gagan Luczycki of Auburn; his sister, Madelyn (Christopher) Collins, and his niece, Scarlett Collins of Situate, MA. He is also remembered fondly by his grandmothers, Patricia Gagan of Camillus, NY and Barbara Coughlin of Watertown, NY; aunts Patricia Jensen and Diane (Clyde) Howard of Auburn, Maureen Cheney and Molly (Joseph) Goss of Watertown, NY; uncles Thomas Gagan (Darlene Miller) of Troy, NY, James (Michelle) Luczycki of Debary, FL and Stephen (Kelly) Luczycki of McLean, VA. He will also be dearly missed by his many cousins and close friends who will cherish their memories of him.

He was predeceased by his father, John J. Luczycki; grandfathers John J. Luczycki, Sr. and John Gagan; uncles Jack Gagan and David Cheney.

Roman's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May the joy he brought to others, and the memories of his kind spirit bring comfort to all who mourn his loss.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 18, 2026, at noon at The Point at Sand Beach, 2924 Sand Beach Road, Auburn, New York.
