Kū Ānuenue is a community organization centered in Hilo with the mission of creating and sustaining space for and with māhū and queer people from keiki to kūpuna, their families and caregivers.

Our mission is to build a community of care and belonging through positive relationships to self, others, and ‘āina. As māhū and LGBTQIA2s+ people ourselves, we are seeking to empower each other and our larger community with shared resources and mutual support.

We see an inclusive community where people grow and create abundance together so that all people, all communities, and ‘āina flourish; diversity and differences are celebrated as our collective strength and every person feels safe and loved.

We act with aloha, compassion, and empathy. We honor the humanity that lives inside every one of us. We believe in the strength of community care.
