Edgar Smith's Story

Please join us as we participate in The Speed Project and raise money for the MIT Sloan Prison Education Initiative (Sloan PEI). The Speed Project is a relay race from Santa Monica Pier to the Las Vegas sign (about 300ish miles).  Our team of six, dubbed the Wall Street Bets, hope to finish this race in about 36 hours including running overnight through the California desert.

For more background on the team and race check out this recent article from Institutional Investor - https://www.institutionalinvestor.com/article/2cxrg09yfe9fk2ksdsa9s/culture/meet-the-allocators-running-340-miles-in-the-desert

The Sloan Prison Education Initiative was created and launched by our very own team captain Daniel Dart. The Program provides business and finance classes to incarcerated men and women in jails and prisons in Massachusetts. They are led and taught by current MBA students at MIT. The program is partnered with and housed at MIT's Educational Justice Institute (TEJI).

Thank you!
