United for Africa: Running for Water & Ownership
Run4Humanity: the African Continent Run for Empowering Communities through Water & Ownership
An Out of The Blue Program
We believe poverty ends where ownership begins. Most aid is a temporary fix for a permanent problem. We’re changing that by shifting communities from a state of survival to one of total independence. In 2027, Veronique Bourbeau, Run4Humanity founder and CEO, public speaker, author and ultra-marathoner, is putting this mission on the global stage by running 14,000 kilometres across the African continent.
From Alexandria to Cape Town, in more than 19 countries, every step she takes represents a community moving away from the "Time Poverty" of fetching water and toward a future of digital commerce and sustainable growth.
Our Goal is very ambitious: reaching 100 million people so that they can have access to clean and safe water, agriculture, sanitation, education and empowerment.
Why We Run
The numbers are staggering, but the solution is simple.
The Loss: Every day, women and girls lose 200 million hours just fetching water. That is time stolen from school and work.
Our Approach: Community-Owned Transformation
Real change happens at the community level. By partnering with the Out of the Blue Movement’s founding organisation SOSNPO, we ensure our programs are community-owned and locally led.
We work side-by-side with families to give them the tools to move from survival to self-reliance.
We provide water systems, agriculture, safe sanitation, WASH, education, and community resilience. We use a "Train the Trainer" model, training local leaders to own, maintain, and grow those assets themselves.
The Pillars in this program are:
Life Foundation (Water/ agriculture / sanitation/ WASH/ Health)
Education Empowerment (Micro – Business and Finance)
Community Resilience (Sports and Wellbeing)
Proven Impact Metrics
Real Impact, Not Just Awareness
This isn’t just a physical feat; it’s a strategic deployment of infrastructure.
Our quest will start in South Africa – we call it the “Pilot Run” where we will achieve:
3 Strategic Hubs: Transforming the rural village of Ga-Moretsele, the peri-urban community of Ivory Park, and the Khoi San homeland of Andriesvale.
100 Powerful Female Voices: Following the journey of community leaders and innovators from underrepresented communities to reshape global equity.
A New Circular Standard: Implementing climate-smart water, WASH, education, and food approaches to create the most important NEXUS approach globally.
145,200 Lives Transformed: Delivering sustainable solutions to 4,000 residents in Ga-Moretsele, 140,000 in Ivory Park, and 1200 in the Kalahari Desert
Be Part of the Legacy
Whether you are providing a "Life Changer" gift for one family or joining us as a "Global Legacy Partner," you are investing in a system that outlasts us all.
$100 (Life Changer): Permanent water solution for one family
$5,000 (Water System): A sustainable water hub for 250 residents
$50,000 (Village Partner): A complete overhaul of water, ag-tech, and school infrastructure for 3,000 people
This isn't just a physical feat; it’s a strategic deployment of hope.
By working hand-in-hand with the community and our partners SOSNPO and the Out of the Blue Movement, we are ensuring that every drop of water and every seed planted is owned by the people it serves
Together, we change the world—one kilometer at a time, one drop of water a time, one community at a time—for a better world, for humanity!
