The 4th of July parade has been a Wakefield signature event since 1922. In 1991 the Wakefield Independence Day Committee (WIDC) was created by volunteers dedicated to continuing this annual town event which welcomes participants and spectators from near and far.  

With the support and participation of individuals, business sponsors and volunteers, we can continue producing the Biggest and Best July 4th Parade in Massachusetts!
