The path to get an education isn’t always easy. Imagine walking through rough terrain and dangerous or unhealthy conditions just to get to school. That’s the reality for many students in the U.S. and around the world. Despite these challenges, they pursue their education with joy and hope, day after day.

This October, you’re invited to join our "Steps for Students" walkathon challenge in solidarity with our students. Move 31 miles–one for each day of the month–and fundraise to support buildOn's work to unite communities through service and education and ignite a more equitable future.

How to Participate:

Click “Fundraise” to get your personal fundraising page set up. Then, walk 31 miles throughout October at your own pace–walk a mile a day or several at once! Share your story and fundraising page with your network to help us reach our $40,000 goal.

Your efforts will help us build new schools so students don’t need to travel long distances to get an education. It will also help us equip communities with the tools to become places where children and adults can learn and thrive.
