Important note re: donations: Please manually change the Givebutter tip to zero. They have a default 15% tip, because they do not charge organizations like ours a monthly fee, like most donor software does. “Hello! I'm Jimena, I'm very excited to spend this summer with you, Let me introduce myself for all those who don't know me yet, I'm 18 years old, I have been more involved in my parents' NGO projects (Jose Miguel & Maritza).

OSDIFGUA NGO runs different projects in the town of Santiago Atitlan; this year I have the great opportunity to work on my own project: 🩵 COMFORT CONNECTION 🩵 DIGNITY 🩵.

This project involves elder men and women from our community. They are elderly people who live on their own for different reasons such as having lost their family, not having children, having been forgotten or abandoned.

Unfortunately, they do not have the necessary resources to live a dignified life in their later years. We've supported a group of elderly women and men by providing them with food baskets since last year. With this food basket support, we can guarantee them healthy nutritional supplements for at least a week.

This year, we are adding a new project to support our elders, rollaway beds!

This summer, you'll have the option of an extra day of service in Santiago, visiting some of the elderly homes and bringing them a rollaway bed and supplies like sweaters, socks, and cozy blankets.

You're cordially invited to come to "Day with Jimena" or to support the project with any donation or supplements for the elderly. Thank you for taking the time to read, see you soon!

In Summer 2025, OUR Guatemala: Travel with Purpose groups will participate in A Day with Jimena during their trip. During this day they will have the opportunity to support OSDIFGUA, Jose Miguel and Maritza in supporting their community with the following:

Food baskets to families: Goal 10 Food Baskets
Elder Beds: Goal 10 Elder Beds
Fundraising to include all the above, transportation, rentals, and food for elders.

Note: To provide the appropriate time needed to purchase and deliver all items for the bunkbed, donations for this bunkbed project can be accepted until June 15, 2025.
