Tambores e Samba is thrilled to announce our 2024 Fundraiser & Raffle!

Win $1,000 flight credit or giftcard redeemable towards any flight!

Led by Abel Damasceno, Tambores e Samba is a Samba Reggae and Samba Afro percussion ensemble with deep connections to the Brazilian community in San Francisco, Berkeley, and Oakland.

This fundraiser aims to support AfroBrazilian arts and culture connecting the Bay Area to local communities in Salvador Bahia. With the funds collected, we will support local artisans who create batería instruments such as: zurdos, dobras, repiques, and caixas. Through this connection we aim to spread AfroBrazilian culture and joy here in the Bay Area by continuing Abel Damasceno’s teachings and rehearsals with excellent quality instruments in 2025.

To participate in the raffle, please follow these instructions:

Donate a minimum of $100 to the Toca Aê Giving Tuesday Fundraiser HERE. One entry is valid per $100 donation.
Select “Allow Diego Villegas to contact me” at the options above billing information.
Write down your email address, phone number or both in billing information.
The raffle will be open starting Giving Tuesday 12/03/24 and close before the New Year 01/01/25. Two entries, one winner and one back up winner, will be randomly selected January 3rd 2024 at FICA Studio Oakland at 12pm. This will be recorded and broadcast live.
The first winner has to claim and recollect the prize before January 31st. Failure to do so will forfeit the prize to the second winner. The second winner will be immediately contacted and will have until February 28 to claim and recollect the prize.

Disclaimer:

A minimum of 10 donations of $100 must be made to kick off the raffle prize. If 10 eligible donations are not made, we will contact donors who made eligible raffle contributions to ask if they would like to edit their donated amount.
Donations below the $100 minimum are not valid for an entry to the raffle.
Winners have the option to redeem the $1,000 flight credit via a gift card through FlightGift or by coordinating with the raffle coordinator, Diego Villegas, at the time of booking within the eligible timeframe.
Tickets to the Toca Aê! Percussion Festival December 7th is obtained separately at Eventbrite.
