The Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering San Antonio’s youth through education. Inspired by the legend of El Rey Feo—a figure chosen by the people to challenge the elite—the foundation was established in 1947 to fund scholarships for local students. Since then, it has awarded over $10 million in scholarships to more than 7,000 deserving recipients.

Rey Feo 77, Damaso, proudly continues this legacy. With a lifelong commitment to learning and community service, he serves as a goodwill ambassador—visiting schools, raising awareness, and inspiring the next generation to reach higher and dream bigger.

As part of Fiesta Royalty, Rey Feo and his fellow royals, Reina de La Feria de las Flores and Reina Linda, promote education, celebrate San Antonio’s heritage, and support students through hands-on outreach and fundraising efforts. Together, we’re creating a brighter future—one student at a time.
