Support the Emma L. Bowen Community Service Center!
Based in Harlem, the Emma L. Bowen Community Service Center provides comprehensive mental health and addiction treatment, along with a wide range of supportive services. These include client advocacy and vital connections to medical care, nutrition support, public benefits, food stamps, and legal aid.
Each year, the Center serves more than 5,000 clients and distributes over 88,000 packages of food to individuals and families from Harlem, Upper Manhattan, and across all five boroughs of New York City.
For more than three decades, Bowen has been a trusted resource, combating the stigma surrounding mental health and providing a safe, welcoming space where those in need can find care. Today, the Center remains a vital lifeline for some of the city’s most vulnerable residents, many of whom live below the poverty line.
Through a diverse array of programs, Bowen supports individuals of all ages—from infants to seniors—offering both in-person and telehealth services tailored to each client’s unique needs.
