Every young person deserves a safe place to speak, be heard, and receive support without fear or judgment.

Children and young people living in residential care may carry grief, anxiety, trauma, uncertainty, and other emotional burdens connected to their life experiences. And, in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, many have also faced the added stress of disruption, loss, and concern about what may happen next.

Safe Space Jamaica™ helps young people build emotional resilience, develop healthy ways to process difficult experiences, and strengthen their ability to respond to the environments in which they live and learn.

Inspire and Serve works with psychologists, mental-health professionals, local coordinators, and residential-care partners to facilitate age-appropriate Listening Circles, psychosocial support, individual counseling when appropriate, and pathways to additional care. Support is also extended to caregivers and frontline staff, whose own emotional wellness directly affects their ability to provide patient, compassionate, and consistent care.

This is not simply about responding to a moment of crisis. It is about creating a dependable circle of support around every child—and around the adults entrusted with their care.
