San Diego Senior Center Master Plan Fund

A Network of Sophisticated Senior Centers Right Here in San Diego

Senior Centers have the potential to enrich the aging experience and serve as the hub for older adults to support the challenges that come with aging. A dynamic community-based senior center can become the trusted source for all things related to aging to allow every older adult within their communities to thrive.

Currently, San Diego County has 28 senior centers in communities from San Ysidro to Oceanside and Coronado to Borrego Springs. Yet, existing senior centers serve only about 8% of the region’s total senior population – and many of these centers are underfunded, understaffed, and lack sufficient programming.
In response to The California Master Plan for Aging and The County of San Diego Aging Roadmap, we wrote the Master Plan for Senior Centers for San Diego which can be duplicated throughout California and the rest of the country.
With the implementation of the Master Plan, we will modernize current senior centers, and build centers where needed: allowing accessibility to all. Will you help us raise $150M to ensure every community in San Diego had a modernized senior center that they can turn to and trust?
Donate or engage with us and tell us in which neighborhood you want to see a new or modernized senior center.
