Life update! I am stepping out in faith and pursuing a YWAM DTS (Discipleship Training School) in London, England this spring!

For those of you who are not familiar with YWAM, it is a nonprofit organization with a vision to equip young people with the tools and training to share the Gospel. While YWAM has bases all around the world, I chose to go to London to pursue their creative writing DTS.

London has been my favorite city in the world and I am so excited to grow deeper in my faith and serve the people in a city that I hold so dear to my heart. During my training, I will be focusing on studying the Bible, practicing spiritual disciplines, and learning how to use my voice and gift for writing to share Jesus with others. In addition to my training, I will be doing weekly outreach in the city of London.

I truly believe that God is going to challenge me far beyond my comfort zone and help me discover how I can use my gifts to make an impact on other peoples' lives.

Since YWAM is a nonprofit, missionary school, I will have to raise my own funding to pay for it. I am so passionate about knowing this is where God is calling me and have been working hard to save money; however, I'm still in need of extra support to cover all of my expenses. I have made a goal of $6,000 to help fund part of the cost of my DTS which includes: accommodation, food, school materials, and some transportation.

Asking people for support does not come easy to me, but I am stepping out in faith and giving up control to God. When you support me, you're really supporting the mission and helping me touch lives in the city of London and throughout the U.K.

Not everybody will feel called or have the funds to give monetarily, but another way you could support me is through prayer. This is the first time in my life I am truly giving up control. Besides safety and provision, the biggest things I could use prayer for are confidence, courage, and a humble heart.
