We are Guardian Angels School Parents, Students and Supporters. We are looking for Guardian Angels to help keep Guardian Angels Catholic School in Chaska MN open. Without these funds Guardian Angels School will CLOSE.

Guardian Angels Catholic School has been a wonderful place of learning for over 100 years and is a vibrant expression of the spiritual, moral, intellectual, physical, and personal formation of each student, based on Catholic tradition, Christian values, and the pursuit of academic excellence. It is school to a diverse group of children that continue to grow in faith and academics. Guardian Angels students give back to the parish by serving at Mass as altar servers, volunteering for events such as fish frys, pancake breakfasts, and the parish festival. Guardian Angels students are part of the Chaska community, participating in the service events: Rake-A-Thon, Soles 4 Souls, Penny Wars to raise money for various charities. Even after graduating, alumni are involved in the school, parish and community and are seen as leaders.

Guardian Angels is a vibrant expression of the educational and moral formation of young people. It is uniquely suited to serve a need within the Chaska and surrounding community. Demographically over the years the school has become more diverse, serving the growing Latino community in Chaska, with that diversity we have seen new opportunities and challenges. The staff has been working diligently to improve their skills and programs to serve ELL students (English Language Learners). It has become a strength of the school. One challenge across demographics is that a greater portion of the people we serve are in greater financial need. The extra tuition support is needed to serve people who otherwise would not be able to afford excellent Catholic education. If you help support this financial campaign, you will not only have helped save a 100 year old institution in the Chaska Community, but also a place that serves those in need. Isn’t that our mission?

These are the priority items needed to stay open. Please help us raise 1 Million Dollars. Any remaining amount left after the following expenses would be kept in a fund to be used for other repairs, endowment and operation expenses.

$125,000 to $150,000 per year: Scholarships Funds are needed for general operations or relieving the load on parish funds. We would need to establish an endowment specifically for scholarships.
- Such scholarship monies would assist in providing services to those families and others who may be struggling to pay full tuition rates.

There are urgent repairs and upgrades that need to be done:

(All of these items may be included in the “new” building - entrance envisioned by Fr. Deziel. Which was in the neighborhood of $1.2-$1.5 Million)

$125,000 to $130,000: Repair of the front entry steps at a cost
~ $250,000 to $300,000: Provide additional ADA access to the building, specifically on the 2^nd (main) and 3rd floors via an elevator –
$100,000: Provide additional ADA compliant bathrooms within the building. specifically on the 2^nd (main) and 3rd floors via an elevator

This would assist in our goals to make the school more self-sustaining by increasing enrollment and serving the needs of the community.

With these improvements, along with continued marketing to reach young families, we believe we can increase enrollment and position Guardian Angels Catholic School to flourish for future generations. Without these urgently needed funds the school will close, teachers will be looking for new positions at other schools and students will be enrolling at different schools. Without these funds the school will still need repairs and the parish will still need to find a way to raise money for these updates as they will still need to use the building for Faith Formation and other parish events.

Please help us keep this wonderful school open not only for currently enrolled students but for future students that would like to attend a traditional Catholic school like Guardian Angels School.
