Save The Boards is a project dedicated to the accessibility and preservation of the plywood art murals & messages created in response to the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis Police. I am raising money for another year of climate controlled storage space for the boards as well as supplies to preserve the paint and keep the wood from warping and/or splintering.

My end goal is to secure a permanent home for the art to live on, where it will remain free & accessible for members of our community to see as well as those from outside the Twin Cities area. It may be a few years before we see a permanent home for the boards.

The 1 year memorial that took place Saturday 5/22 was a beautiful success. Thank you to everyone who came out to show love and support.

My hope is to continue planning, hosting & participating in events that will focus on creating safe & inclusive spaces for people to reflect on the events that occurred in Minneapolis Summer of 2020, ensuring that we keep this civil rights movement going through the experiences & stories the art allows us to take in.
