Save Oklahoma's Rose Rocks
Oklahoma’s Rose Rocks are rare and unique geologic records of ancient groundwater systems and Permian sandstone environments. Named the official state rock in 1968, they're an important part of Oklahoma's culture and symbolize the state's beauty and strength.
Yet many Rose Rock-bearing areas are vulnerable to development and permanent disturbance. Once these layers are destroyed, they cannot be replaced — and the scientific and educational value they hold is lost with them.
This campaign supports educational outreach, scientific documentation, and long-term efforts toward protecting significant Rose Rock sites, with a vision for permanent conservation and public access in the future.
If you’re not able to give financially, that's ok! Sharing accurate information and helping raise awareness is equally valuable.
Thank you for sharing in my love for Oklahoma's incredible Rose Rocks!
